Just a short drive will take you to a variety of area attractions. In Grand Rapids you will find the Gerald R. Ford Museum, featuring a replica of the Oval Office and highlights of the lives of President and Mrs. Ford. Discover history and heritage at the Van Andel Museum and Voigt House Victorian Museum. In Holland, visit the Dutch Village and Windmill Island and the recreated 200 year old Netherlands village, complete with canals and windmills. Scenic and romantic, numerous lighthouses still link Michigan to a nearly forgotten past. The Holland Harbor Lighthouse, known as Big Red, reflects the Dutch influence in the area. Educational experiences as well as fun and enjoyment can be found at the John Ball Zoological Gardens observing all of the animals.
